Faces from Lesotho
All the funds raised by Menu for Hope 4 will go to support the school lunch program in Lesotho, as well as supporting the WFP buying from local, subsistent farmers who practice conservation farming.
We sent a whole bunch of disposable cameras to Lesotho a few weeks ago, and asked the children, teachers, and farmers participating in the program to take photos of their daily lives. We wanted them to help us document their lives and their stories, to bridge the distance, physical or otherwise, between us. When we got the cameras back and developed the films, we were completely swept away by the power of those images. Unlike photographs filtered by the professional eye, these came from the perspective of the people there. They are showing us a bit of their world, from their own point of view.
Here's a little teaser, a collection of some of my favorites. Some
of them are truly amazing, especially when we remember that they were
taken by untrained eyes, with simple disposable cameras.

That is great Pim. It really personalises the campaign.

I look around my home after looking at these photos, and I realize once again how amazingly blessed I am.
I'm going to buy some raffle tickets right now, and I'm even more proud to be participating in this year's event.

Oh my goodness, those are amazing photos. I love the one of the dresser with all the plates displayed.
You could auction off prints - I'd buy tickets!
