The best meal and the worst meal
...of this trip. One of them is perhaps the ---- meal ever. Can you tell which one is which? Extra kudos for anyone who could guess the restaurant names too.

The top dish is from L'Esguard and the bottom from El Poblet.
I'm guessing you preferred the former?

L'Esguard and El Poblet, but which was which. I've herad ravings and poos from both.

I'll take a stab at this. The first was the worst, the second the best. The second is the "rose" prawn dish served at El Poblet in Denia. I haven't eaten there and I've read mixed reviews, but I'll still take a wild guess that it was the best of your trip. I'm curious what the first restaurant/dish is.

Hey,
The bottom one perhaps Mugaritz, and for the top one I will guess Arzak. Nice pictures as always.

hm hm it's not an easy one... however, i'll go with the hunch:
1st - the best
2nd - the worst

how's the food? Is it delicious? :-)

1. L'esguard
2. El Poblet
Hard to say which you didn't like, I have to guess #2?

Ah--come on Pim---put us out of our misery and write these two dishes up! I'm way too provincial to be privy to the fine restaurants of Western Europe---but i still have a hankering to know! Please--pretty please??

You guys are good. Yes, the first photo is from L'Esguard, and the second from El Poblet. I adored my meal -so much so we went back for another dinner the next night- at El Poblet. L'Esguard, on the other hand, was something else entirely. I'll write up both meals very soon.
cheers,
Pim
