Thanks for organising this fantastic event... now I have to find out who is Edwf and Cookingismypassion to see if they can sneak me in for dinner in a doggy bag!
Posted by: Colin | Jan 15, 2007 8:10:02 PM
Pretty exciting to see my name on the list! This was fun, and the First Giving setup was so easy to use.
Thanks, Pim! A great idea!
Posted by: Mimi | Jan 15, 2007 8:23:09 PM
Well done Pim. I'm sorry I didn't win dinner at Tetsuya's or the Starwars memorabillia but I'm happy with the book donated by Arfi.
Posted by: barbara | Jan 15, 2007 8:30:28 PM
Pim, thank you for all of your amazing hard work on this raffle. Just writing up this post with all the links would have made me cross-eyed. You are an inspiration to us all!
Posted by: Elise | Jan 15, 2007 10:32:22 PM
Wow. I am thrilled I won a prize. But I'm even more thrilled for the guys that won the prizes I helped to source. I am so envious of them. Maybe I can con (oops... convince) the winners to take my along to their dinners. ;p
Seriously, congrats again Pim. Great job this year! Next year's target should be US$200,000!

Great work Pim, it's exciting to win a prize, my win was a gift to Fred (Sam's boyfriend) I'm sure they'll enjoy it.

Congratulations Pim on a job most excellently done! Can't wait to find out who Tal is so I can send him/her their prize.
I agree with chubbyhubby about, and I'm already working on sourcing a prize for next years Menu for Hope.
Posted by: aja | Jan 16, 2007 12:22:16 AM
Pim, what can I say buy "wow"? I am happy to take part in this with or without a prize, but the fact that I did win one of the raffles I entered was a nice added bonus. You deserve a lot of praise for putting this together and I can't wait to do it all again next year!
Posted by: Spike | Jan 16, 2007 1:24:50 AM
Congratulations to all the winners! And thanks Pim and all the regional co-ordinators for all your hard work. Can't wait to hear who Jessicafm and BonBon are so we can start the ball rolling in delivering the prizes!

Great job on the awards, and thanks to bidders and donors for a job very well-done!
Hoping to toast the success of the event, either here or there, in the near future...

Hi Pim.
I won...um...wow!!
Very UNexpected - I hear great things about Manresa but I have never been there. I look forward to a very moving and exquisite experience.
I hope Fra' Mani can donate a gift for next years trunk of world class prizes.

Wow. I've never seen a blog event like this but it looks pretty spectacular. Congratulations to all involved.
See? The blog can do more than just breathe life into dead stories and expose dishonest journalists!

Hi Pim: Thanks for organizing this great event. I sent you an email on this but thought I would leave a message here as well -- can you please let me know, at your convenience, what I need to do to claim the prize that I was fortunate enough to win (UC10)? Thanks!

Dear Pim,
I learnt about Menu for Hope only recently, if only I did so sooner coz by then it was over before I could bid!
Nonetheless, what you do is just remarkable and I really admire you for that.
I hope to participate in the next event, will you be doing it again?

Hello, Pim--
I am probably the only dummy that didn't get this, but the wording in your blog about Menu for Hope (paragraph beginning "This year...") gave me the impression that donations (and prizes!) were limited to bloggers. (Like Is My Blog Burning, and Blog by Mail kinds of group activities.)
(I was wowed by some of the the prizes, but figured they must be just for bloggers.) Alas I found out too late.
So maybe next year, you could be sure to make it clear to the densest of us, not so familiar with the Internet goings-on.
Thank you!
Happy Reader

Thanks Pim and partners around the globe for organizing such a fabulous event! :) I am so thrilled that I won the Baker's Bounty!!! (I only checked today- doh!)
Hope I can donate again next year, and will plan to donate some cool items for the next raffle too!

I've tried posting on her board saying I don't have an email and I've tried emailing directly to you Pim (maybe my email went in your junk mail?) - both a few days ago
