Say WHAT again?

UsedcurrypasteadsSo, a funny post over at Vinography got me paying attention to Google Ads on my sidebar. And look what I've got today? EBay ads for new and used curry paste! How fun...um....just to be clear dear readers, Chez Pim certainly does not endorse the use of used curry paste...ugh..

I decided to give Google Ads a try a few weeks ago, just to see how it works, and all the other blogs are doing it. :-) I like that I don't have anything to do with the ads so the editorial content -if I can dare to call my posts here that- can be completely free of commercial influence. But I don't know, ads for used curry paste and used Pinot Noir are making me rethink this a little..

Pim

Well Pim we don't think of our curries as used so much as pre-loved Pim. This nice little model Pim was just used by a nice old Catholic lady who cooked up a fish curry every other Friday. Course we've got our demo models, that one over there was just used as an in store cooking demonstration, good as new Pim, just a little bit taken off the top and anyway a curry paste stops being new as soon as you take it off the shelf doesn't it Pim. So would you like to take it for a cook, here's the spoon, nice isn't it? I could tell you were a red curry person Pim and this would be great for your, what did you say you did again? Yes your blog. Not many left at this price Pim, in fact it's just this one, we're losing money on the sale but we need to clear the showrooms. Well it is a bit more than you wanted to spend but I could talk to the manager and see if he could arrange finance. Throw in a tin of coconut milk, welllll we're right down to the margin on this one. I go and see what I can do Pim. Well you could come back but I've already got a couple that's interested in it and I can't promise anything. Curries like this don't hang around for long. So Pim, what do I have to do to sell you this curry?

My question is HOW exactly did they 'use' it? Then decide it was great to resell!

I am fearful of used curry paste. My mind is still trying to wrap around exactly what is meant by those three simple words, and none of the pictures conjured up are pretty.

Yeah, I was wondering about those ads. I'm still pondering the implications of used curry paste.
