Have you got your table yet?

Storywinedinner_1Well, have you?

I am talking about the Story Wine Dinner, a collaboration of my two good friends Alder -yes, that Alder over at Vinography- and David -and yes, that David- of Manresa, of course.

I hear they only have few spaces left (They are now completely booked actually, you'll have to wait for another one), so take my word for this, book one for yourself or you'll be missing a great meal.

J, and anyone else who has concerns about not knowing much about wine:

This wine dinner is PERFECT for you! I'm no nonsense, anti-elitest about wine, and instead of hearing a lot of crazy words that you don't understand about wine, I'll actually be telling stories: About who makes them and why they are interesting people, the places where the wine is grown, famous people who have choked to death while drinking them, etc. The only thing you need to be able to do is appreciated a good story ! Chef David Kinch will be cooking to these wines, so you'll get so see really nice wine pairing in action.

Anyhow. If you're interested, I definitely encourage you to come, especially if it's really 10 minutes away.

hm... A and I are awfully tempted as it's only about 10min from our house and we've been hearing the most laudatory comments about Manresa. The only thing is we are absolutele dummies when it comes to wines. Would this experience be a lost cause on us or a fantastic initiation jump into the wonderful world of wine? :)

Pim,

Wish I could join but I'm approx 8000 miles away so not this time. But did want to thank you very much for the Manresa recommendation. We had an amazing meal there when I was in california last week. And I was absolutely amazed that the restaurant was only about 70% full. Get over there all you californians!

I agree with you
