So they finally took away all the pillows propping up his body in that wheelchair and just fessed up that he was dead.

My hat is tipped to his handlers though. Keeping that ancient Strom Thurmond looking quasi-alive had *got* to be hard. How they kept those damn flies from swarming all over his body I would never know!
